Matt Maurer speaks to Cannabis IQ about sending cannabis in the mail

Torkin Manes' Cannabis Law Group Co-Chair, Matt Maurer, was featured in the recent newsletter, Cannabis IQ – Global News.

A reader asked:

I grew four plants this year in my backyard. I have a friend in northern Ontario. Is it legal to mail her a few joints in the mail?

“Absolutely,” responds cannabis lawyer Matt Maurer. “As long as your friend is 19 years of age or older, and you keep your gift to 30 g of dried flower or less.”
